Camel…neutral in color….2010 fashion trend color statement…
Seems blah….even maybe insignificant…but this could actually be THE piece that adds the frosting, so to speak, to your Fall/Winter wardrobe for 2010-2o11.
Camel coat by XCVI
XCVI gives us this magnificent piece….versatilly easy….adapatable to almost any look….and also surprisingly budget friendly for such a fashionable piece.
Always in tune with the “on the go” female of today….XCVI doesn’t disappoint with this contemporary piece that will go with almost everything. In the photo above it is shown belted…but is easily worn as the overcoat for your everyday fashions.
And if you’re lucky enough to score a pair of the UGG Lynnea boots, that are completely sold out….except for what is left in the stores…the chestnut color will be the perfect boot addition to your new camel coat.
UGG Lynnea, wear it cuffed down or up
Good luck!…I’m sure that both items will not be around for long!
Cheers ladies as we prepare for the wintry blasts that are sure to hit us very soon:)

My favorite product this season? These great scarves with a hood attached. They are so fun and soft that I know everytime I wear one, I won’t stop grinning.
Their motto? Doing good feels good. Do yourself and someone else some good when you purchase one of their great items.

Gray is almost more of a blank slate than white is. It’s neutral, calming and is completely adaptable to a wide range of colors and styles. Gray can be dressy, casual or funky – it’s a chameleon. Want to wear gray but unsure of how to pull it off without look blah? Well, keep reading for our tips and hints.
- Pair gray with either white or black for a classic, sophisticated look. Or stick with other shades of gray for a contemporary touch.
- Go for bright accessories. Since you’ve started with such a neutral, you can pair it with colorful shoes, jewelry, belts or scarfs (just made sure you don’t go overboard on the colors – you aren’t a box of crayons).
- When you wear gray, try to go for a gray that a little more on the metallic side. Avoid bluish/dull grays, it’s hard to find a skin tone that it will look good with.
This gray tube dress from Weston Wear is a fast favorite. It would look great with a bright, thick belt around the waist or a chunky necklace. Or you can even pair is with a black sweater and black heels for a grown-up look perfect for any occasion.
Have you entered our #GetYourGrooveOn contest yet?
We’re thinking of redesigning our online site (http://www.denimandlacenc.com – if you haven’t check it out yet) in the next few days/weeks. We want something that accurately portrays our brand’s image and style. For example, take a look at Shop Adorn’s website – you can quickly tell the vibe of the company and know within seconds if it will fit into your life style. What does this have to do with our fashion blog?
Take a step back and look at yourself. What do you think people see when they first meet you? Our helpful employees at Denim and Lace can make sure you look your best by outfitting you for any occasion. Job interview, first date, girl’s night out – we’ve got you covered (especially in the new Aryn K skirt pictured above). Of course, there’s more to making a good impression than just the clothes you wear. Make sure your hair is brushed, your jewelry matches and at least have lip gloss and mascara on if nothing else.
We love to give you advice about clothes so when in doubt, just ask! You can also tweet us your questions or leave a comment on our facebook wall!
